About you and this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) to join our maintenance and reliability team at our site Wiesbaden, Germany. The team is responsible for all maintenance activities as well as technical projects at the site and consists of various specialist disciplines in process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and automation technology.
In this key role, you will be responsible for developing maintenance strategies for high-priority equipment and continuously improving existing maintenance and reliability strategies. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in identifying critical spare parts, supporting plant strategies, capital projects and improvement goals aligned with the business goals. As the primary contact for inspections affecting electrical disciplines, your expertise will be instrumental in driving our success.
Responsibilities
- Contribution to create a safe work environment across all manufacturing functions
- Responsible for electrical installations at production site for a safe and reliable operation
- Definition of predictive and preventative maintenance (PPM) activities based on regulatory or Dow requirements and equipment strategies. Setup of inspection plans in SAP PM
- Leadership of root cause analysis (RCA) in cross-functional teams to reduce equipment downtimes and repair cost
- Support of maintenance technicians in trouble shooting and preparation of isolation procedures and safe work permits
- Continuous improvement of existing maintenance & reliability strategies
- Participation in international networks for experience exchange and collaboration
- Site focal point for electrical design and safety in capital and maintenance projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (electrical engineering preferred) or equivalent qualification
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
Preferred skills
- Proficiency in SAP PM Module
- Knowledge about industry equipment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to steer and motivate a team
- Demonstration of independence, initiative and drive to coordinate projects
- Ensuring a safe work environment by working safely and, complying with environmental, health and safety standards
